David and Melissa Johnson
David Johnson is the Founding CEO of Co-Missions Global, based in the Upstate of South Carolina, where he lives with his wife, Melissa, and their two daughters, Grace and Emmaline. David brings more than 20 years of business experience having earned a degree in Marketing Management in 2003. Prior to launching Co-Missions Global, he spent 15 years developing expertise in management and finance.
David’s passion for ministry was shaped early in life while growing up in Utah as a missionary kid, where his father faithfully pastored a small evangelical church for more than 30 years. Melissa’s love for missions began in sixth grade through Girls in Action (GAs), a missions-focused discipleship group at her local church.
In recent years, the Lord has continued to deepen their shared heart for missions through involvement in their church small group, ministry training with Downline Ministries, and certificate coursework through Perspectives. Together, they have participated in multiple short-term mission trips around the world, including Guatemala, Alaska, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Poland.
Through these experiences, David and Melissa have been deeply impacted by the unity of the global Church across cultures and nations. They share a strong desire to help fulfill the Great Commission by cultivating a missions-focused culture within the Church, connecting believers worldwide, and supporting ministries to the unreached.
