In recent years, Eastern Europe has faced deep conflict due to political instability and war.  Many Christian pastors and believers have been forced to flee to neighboring Poland to escape repression, harassment, and the threat of imprisonment under authoritarian regimes.  Many of these believers were targeted not only for their faith but also for their participation in peaceful protests, prayer gatherings, or public expressions of conscience, forcing them to leave behind homes, families, and churches.

Now living as refugees in Poland, they face the challenges of displacement while seeking to continue gospel ministry among growing Belarusian and Eastern European refugee communities—often forming new discipleship groups and church plants even as they rebuild their lives in exile.

Local Church Partnership & Ministry Approach

Christian believers from various nations throughout Eastern Europe are coming together to participate in gospel-centered ministry projects that serve their local communities. These projects range from drama programs to hands-on construction work, including repairing damaged homes for families who have lost everything and restoring church roofs and Sunday School classroom walls for congregations with limited resources. Teams also serve by supporting children’s ministry efforts and partnering with local schools to help students practice English as a second language.

Through shared initiatives—such as bringing Russian and Polish believers together to present Christmas drama programs—these teams demonstrate the reconciling power of the gospel across cultural and national lines. In all of these efforts, the love of Christ is made visible, and the gospel becomes tangible through acts of service that meet both practical needs and spiritual longings.
