Statement of Faith

Inerrancy and Authority of Scripture

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, sufficient, and authoritative Word of God, breathed out by the Holy Spirit through human authors to reveal God, accomplish His purpose, and will stand unbroken forever. Fulfilled in Jesus Christ and proclaimed through the gospel, Scripture calls believers to submit to God’s authority, contend for the faith, and grow in spiritual understanding so the church may display God’s wisdom to the world.

God | Father, Son, Holy Spirit

Scripture reveals that there is one God who exists eternally in three distinct persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in deity and united in purpose. This one God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, who brought the universe into existence ex nihilo (out of nothing) by His Word and power.

Jesus Christ | Fully God & Fully Human

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became fully human without ceasing to be fully God, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, was buried, and rose bodily from the dead, securing victory over sin and death. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God, where He continually intercedes for His people as our High Priest and Advocate.

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is fully God, equal with the Father and the Son, personally distinct within the Triune God, and sent by the Father through the Son to apply the work of redemption. He regenerates and indwells believers, unites them to Christ, sanctifies and guides them into truth, empowers them for witness, intercedes according to God’s will, and always glorifies Christ in the life of the church.

Fallen Nature of Mankind

Scripture teaches that humanity is fallen in nature, born into sin, and therefore spiritually dead, unable to do anything to save themselves. Apart from God’s saving grace, mankind is destined for eternal punishment and separation from God, the second death.

Gen 8:21; Ps 51:5; Rom 3:23; Rom 5:12; Eph 2:1–3; Matt 25:41, 46; 2 Thess 1:9; Rev 20:14–15

Justification by Grace through Christ Alone

Through Jesus Christ’s substitutionary death on the cross, sinners are justified by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. This saving faith is evidenced by genuine repentance—a change of mind from sin toward God—as He empowers us to do so. Outside of faith in Christ alone, there is no other way of salvation.

Isa 53:5–6; Rom 3:24–26; Eph 2:8–9; John 14:6; Acts 3:19; Acts 4:12; 2 Pet 3:9

Sanctification

We believe that sanctification is the work of God’s grace by which believers are set apart as holy in Christ and progressively transformed into His likeness by the power of the Holy Spirit. Through the finished work of Christ and the ongoing ministry of the Spirit, believers grow in holiness and obedience.

The Church

We believe that there is only one true church, brought into being by the Holy Spirit and composed of all individual believers united to Christ by faith. This one true church finds its visible expression in local congregations, where believers are gathered around God’s Word, united in prayer and mission. Though diverse in background and practice, all true believers belong to one body in Christ and are called to pursue unity in truth while faithfully living out their shared life and witness through each local congregation.

Marriage and Gender

We believe that God lovingly created humanity as male and female, distinct and complementary, and that sexual intimacy is His good gift to be expressed within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. We affirm that our embodied sex is part of God’s wise design and, while recognizing the real struggles many experience, we are committed to biblical truth and Christlike compassion. With humility and hope, we believe God calls us to love all people and treat them with dignity and care. God calls every person—ourselves included—to repentance and new life in Christ, who alone offers forgiveness, restoration, and transforming grace.

Evangelism and Social Responsibility

We believe every person is made in God’s image, possessing inherent dignity that calls us to love, value, and serve them. As followers of Christ, we are commissioned to both proclaim the gospel and to pursue justice as complementary expressions of obedience to Him. Because our oneness strengthens our witness, the gospel also calls the Church to visible unity in the truth. Therefore, believers should seek deep fellowship and shared mission so that our transformed lives may display Christ’s reconciling righteousness to the world.

Return of Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in power and glory to bring salvation and judgment to completion, and until that day the Church is called to faithfully proclaim the gospel to all nations, remaining watchful against deception. Our hope rests not in human progress or earthly utopias, but in God’s promise to perfect His kingdom in the new heaven and new earth, as we joyfully submit every area of life to Christ’s sovereign authority.
