Lead a Team

Co-Missions Global partners with churches and ministries to help build strategic short-term mission teams that support gospel-centered work across the globe. Our desire is to come alongside leaders who want to help their people engage the Great Commission with humility and long-term purpose.

Partnering with Churches and Ministries

Leading a team is more than coordinating travel or organizing logistics. It is a spiritual responsibility that involves prayer, discipleship, communication, and care for the people God has entrusted to your leadership. Team leaders help set the tone for how participants prepare, serve, learn, and partner with local ministries.

We work with churches, schools, campus ministries, and other Christian organizations to shape mission opportunities that align with their people, goals, and calling. Each partnership is built around trusted in-country ministry leaders, local needs, and long-term gospel work already taking place on the ground.

Rather than creating isolated missions, we help leaders develop opportunities that are purposeful, relational, and connected to ongoing, localized ministry. Our goal is to help your team serve in a way that strengthens local partners, encourages long-term workers, and deepens a missions-focused culture within your church or organization.

What We Look for in Team Leaders

Mission leaders play a vital role in the health and effectiveness of each team. Those who lead should be faithful in their calling to the Lord, committed to serving with humility, and willing to guide others with wisdom and care.

Team leaders should be able to:

  • Communicate clearly and consistently with participants

  • Recruit and encourage additional team members

  • Help prepare the team spiritually, relationally, and practically

  • Represent Co-Missions Global and local ministry partners with integrity

  • Shepherd team members before, during, and after the trip

  • Work well with church or ministry leadership

  • Follow the guidance of in-country ministry leaders

  • Model flexibility, humility, and servant-hearted leadership

How Co-Missions Global Supports Leaders

You do not have to build a mission trip from the ground up alone. Co-Missions Global helps connect leaders with ministry partners, clarify trip goals, shape the team structure, and provide guidance throughout the preparation process.

We help leaders think through key details such as ministry focus, team size, preparation, communication, fundraising, travel logistics, cultural expectations, and follow-up after the trip. Our desire is to equip leaders to guide their teams with confidence while ensuring each trip remains locally led and gospel-centered.
